In AoE II, you can see what was the last thing your villagers were doing before they had to flee from danger or exhausted a resource. Example, instead of being just “villagers” they were named: lumberjacks, miners, farmers, builders, etc. That name sticks until they are tasked with something else.
This is extremely helpful to reassign those same villagers to their original jobs later on. It’s a great aid when micro-ing. AoE IV lacks this and I’ve found it very annoying. I find idle villagers in random places and I don’t know what the heck they were doing.
As this isn’t technically a bug, I’m posting here, but I do find it moderately problematic. Am I the only one?
