How many competitive players said the opposite? because having played the beta myself and from a competitive point of view, aoe4 wasn’t good at all (at least, at the end of the beta)

You are not going to get many competitive players say opposite unfortunately. Simply because a lot of the players were actually involved in the development. Viper, TaToH, HERA and I think SoTL as well. And many other AOE III players as well.
Daut could have been involved but he accidentally missed his opportunity
Which makes me think that’s why such concerns about graphics were never represented. Because people who MODtheir trees into stumps and remove particle effects were involved as the representative of the age community.
If you are talking about the trip to Vancouver in 2027x Viper and TatoH were there, but the others weren’t.
