Inca kallanka is in a bad spot

Inca is completely dead vs gatling mass + musket (which is almost all you ever see from USA). I even tried using priestesses with mama killa card sent and for some unknown reason they just cannot convert USA gatling guns, even if you select five priestesses and ask them to convert one gatling and they keep doing it for a long time they still cannot convert it. I think MAYBE I was able to convert one gatling gun once. They can convert other units though, including falconets. The beauty of it is the inca priestess is not classified as infantry, but rather ‘healing unit’ so it takes 3x less damage from artillery. A shame they don’t work vs gatling because that would be a brilliant and fun counter to use! The gatling OPness continues I guess. I cannot find the game I tried that in, but here is a game where it worked versus falconets (a very silly game though)
IncaPriestessVsDutchFalc.age3Yrec (8.8 MB)

vs an otto jan rush

maybe report that as a bug or something. priestess cheese is toxic, but so are gatlings so its fair game

Yeah agreed, I only did it a few games and then stopped it because I wanted to only use it versus other cheese that has no counter, such as gatling. I don’t really think the poor dutch player deserved it. You will note that at lower ELO levels USA appears to have one of the highest win rates, presumably due to gatling.

Initially I was trying to use priestesses to make huaraca ‘work’. If priestesses are supposed to have an infantry tag, then they should, I can only assume the developers intended for priestesses to be an actual way to deal with artillery that we haven’t discovered yet. They did make a card specifically for using priestesses offensively, the mama killa card. Some ‘cheese’ is intended, and I don’t really consider it cheese, such as the big button battle anger which allows the Lakoa War Chief to kill artillery really quickly, there are also stealth cards to make this easier, it seems very intentional and I also find it very cool.
