if you have reading comprehension issues you should take a course in your local community college. i never said that creation time for men-at-arms should be set to zero. i beg you, take me seriously or don’t reply.
As there is no content to “seriously” reply to your (unjustified and entitled) demand is premittably contradicted.
And as “ex falsum quot libet” we are now free to post basically anything comletely unrelated to the topic as yourself rendered it unrelatable.
After @FantaMorgana already pointed out that there seems no purpose it also shoows that there isn’t even a relatable context NOR content we could even discuss about, as every time we even try there only comes a respond that this wasn’t meant. So…
What do you guys think about Rings of Power going to a second Season?
did you lose to celts repeatedly? or have you tried using infantry civs and lost every time? you obviously have a beef with this topic and try to use your philosophical/intellectual/rethorical terms to construct a safety net all around you.
If you go double Barracks from the early Feudal, maybe the problem it’s not the eco bonuses ![]()
There’s not a single eco bonus that allows you do a double barracks constant production in feudal age.
Look at Survivalist required villager app: AOE2: DE
With Supplies, you’ll need 19 vills to food to pump up M@A from 2 Barracks and keep the TC active.
It’s a number you’ll get in late feudal, when you click up to Castle Age. No eco bonus can help here: simply, infantry is bad as main force of the army.
If you use Infantry, it’s better to go up to Castle before starting double Barracks. This way, you get even Squires and Arson. Or you can go full MEME and stop vullager production
The problem is not eco bonuses, the problem is the unit. And we discussed this topic many times on this forum. I suppose things won’t change in the next future.
Given that you already have like 15 farms placed. Which is baiscally impossible at early feudal.
But I don’t even think that 2 barracks maa is a goal to get to in feudal anyways. Maybe you want to open with them but then you want to add skirms or spears depending on your opponent opener. And for both it’s usually enough to stay on one barracks.
One issue atm is that even this kind of play is not affordable. At least i don’t know of a civ who can do that (though i haven’t really tried actually). And that’s also what I targeted my eco bonus that gives around 1k extra free food from berries for, to enable such a strat with setting for a good castle age timing. Cause that’s the second issue, when you go for such a food hungry army - it’s delaying your castle age timing massively. And as we see in the current meta: Timing is almost everything.
And I don’t see wood bonusses giving enough here. They would to be absurdly massive to enable a lot of early farm placements. Like twice as much as dravidians or so - which would easily break the game completely.
I also don’t htink it makes any sense to discuss this further in this thread. For me it looks like the TO made this only to find reasons to get personal. So Maybe we should switch to a different topic where we already discussed well about the possible changes to make infantry more viable outside the basic maa openers.
