# Instant Crash on late large game \*Spies\* research

My game crashed when I bought the 50k gold “Spies” research late in my game.

solo skirmish, 8 players[(7 bots total)5 bots alive{1 ally}, Large Silk Road map, supremacy, classic, slow game speed, no mods, about 4 hours in. Map was already 75% explored so my only thought is the sudden appearance of so many units/buildings. My computer runs the game really well on max graphics. An autosave feature would be nice if possible.

- **25%** of the time / matches I play (SOMETIMES) [I haven’t gotten to this research in all my games]

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Play until “Spies” costs a lot, happened for me around 50K gold.
2. Purchase “Spies”.  
3.Crash.

Gain visibility of all units and buildings without crashing the game.

It crashed and I lost all game progress.
