Why not do the following nerfs instead while in cover mode (to heroes only):
Cannot Snare
Aura bonus disabled until cover mode is released
Set a 3-second cooldown to switch between different stances
This way it can still be used to tank ranged damage, but loses the otherwise normal advantages normally afforded to the hero when they’re not in cover mode.
We do not need such complex settings. Removing hero cover mode is good, but the prize of native/Asian heroes should be downregulated too. Surviving a monk needs 300 coin which is impossible in a game.
Quite literally an explorer’s primary use in battle, so no.
The native civs’ explorer having an aura is very integral to their gameplay. Any nerf here would require an adjustment to every other unit’s hp/speed/xp in their roster.
Why further weaken the explorer, all for cover mode? Seems unnecessary imo.
Because Melee heroes when micro’d properly are almost always put into cover mode, which is clearly leaning on the overpowered side by consensus and the entire reason for this update/debate.
