As with most of my ideas it’ll probably never happen but I like to dream regardless… would be awesome if the Panjagan archer was a thing in AOE2. Maybe give Persian xbows a faster fire rate, or actually let them fire 5 arrows at a time similar to Chu Ku Nu, or if the Kamandaran tech could be replaced by a Panjagan tech that allowed Persian xbows to either fire faster or fire 5 arrows at a time. I mean they could still also only cost wood, but I think the detractors would scream bloody murder if trashbows were buffed even further.
And why do you think people would be against buffing a gold unit that can be spammed infinitely? There’s a reason they don’t have bracer or arb, and WE didn’t decide it..
What is your logic behind buffing an already decent option which is coupled to a civ with a good eco? Except “just because i want it”?
Add the bracer and remove the crosssboeman.
Make the cost of Kamandaran go back to 200F200G.
Make the cost of the trash archer go back to 50W.
The Persians would feel more helpful once facing the pikemen in the castle age.
That is how the Persians should be buffed and keep under the balance in my opinion.

It is merely something that I found interesting, I don’t claim to have some sort of overarching design philosophy that I believe is superior to what is already on offer. Merely interested in discussion, you don’t have to take everything so seriously…
