In every match, at some point while constructing certain buildings, their foundations become invisible. You can’t place another building in that spot, and you can’t select or delete those foundations.

It’s not visible in the video, but if you order the villagers to stop building, you won’t be able to resume construction afterward. As I mentioned, the foundation becomes invisible, so you can’t select it to continue building or delete it. However, the game still treats it as existing, which means you can’t build anything else in that location.
Also on Tupi, when the invisibility bug occurs, their UU start flickering, becoming visible and invisible alternately

 Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start game on XBOX

  2. Play normally, and after 15–20 minutes, some buildings randomly get invisible foundations
