Irrelevant Gameplay Updates (imo)

I don’t understand the purpose of some of the recent updates:
Why are sheep now placed three kilometers away from the TC?
Why can’t we push chickens to the TC anymore?
Why does Black Forest looks like a forest with corridors carved out by a chainsaw?
Why are the lakes on Black Forest so tiny?
Why are resources outside the walls randomly scattered on Arena?

And that’s just a few, I could list many more.

On top of that, it seems there are updates not mentioned in the patch notes:

Are monk conversions now reset when switching targets?
Do Siege Elephants hit much slower than before?

Chickens are intended to be unpushable “deer”. So thats not a bug, its a feature.

The latest patch intended to sync attack animations to their actual attack rate, so what I think is happening here is, that the animation is just slower, to match the actual attack rate of the siege elephant, so the elephant hits the building at the same time the damage is applied to the building.
The asynchronicity was particularly noticeable with Pikemen, where the damage was rarely applied at the same time the soldier trusts his Pike forward.

I’d rather question why deer luring is still a thing.

My guess is A B testing. By giving people Chickens 50% of the time while all other things are the same they can test what the impact of the change is in isolation.
If they made it Chicken 100% of the time then there would be no comparison because the patch also changed other things. It gets impossible to see how big the impact of that change it.

Guys why are focusing on the chickens ? There are some weird things.

For example the monks that take forever to convert ? If the conversion reset with the target change, it’s a very MAJOR change and serious nerf to monks.

I don’t know honestly, playing Arena recently I felt I could convert on the fly by changing units as usual. It hasn’t worked with buildings for a while now, it’s not a recent change.

I am talking about units only yes.
