It’s so ugly and distracting! They need to remove this immediately! its honestly stressing me out. This game gives me so much joy and is a nice break from reality, and now I am getting bombarded with ads in my safe space! Such bull. Devs remove immediately!

Nobody likes ads. They infest so many aspects of our daily life. I do NOT want to see them when I am trying to relax.

It’s hideous! It’s bad enough that the game has a news pop-up that opens every time you start it up, but now this? It looks more like a badly designed online shop than a game menu these days.

Now companies want to fill up the night sky with drone shows advertising random things. We live in a dystopia.

If it was free-to-play garbage I could see the reasoning behind the ad. But on a paid game? That’s excessive.
It doesn’t happen every time for me. It usually shows up after an update.

It used to pop up every time for me, although weirdly when I started the game today it didn’t. But I think that’s the first time it hasn’t popped up since it was introduced.
The DLCs I didn’t buy are either what I don’t like or don’t care (and actually, I don’t really care about any new DLCs after 2025, a “wonderful” year). I have been trying to ignore them.
But now the game forces things I don’t like under my nose when I open the game, without any actual improvements on the DLC. I’m bothered by that. It will only make me dislike more about these DLCs.

If Aoe is free to play, it is ok. But nobody pay to watch ads.
