both china and U.S.:
infantry focused, every deck has age 3 full, both have a artillery unit that is cheaper than the falconet and does continuous damage(flame and Gatling),both have massive power spike shipments in age 4( kovat’s legion and old dynasty reforms)
Literally how? China is all about massing a large amount of cheap, specialized units that compliment eachother, backed by a solid economy and strong military cards whereas US likes to stack many upgrades and win through out-teching, using versatile, strong infantry.
-USA gets Factory in Age 3, China gets Porcelain Tower early too.
-USA masses Food and Wood costing Infantry armies, China masses Food and Wood costing Old Han Banner Armies.
-USA gameplay is about sending in a lot of buff cards for their cheap yet effective Infantry, China does exactly the same.
-USA has poor Cavalry, China has the same issue.
-USA has a cheap and troublesome Gatling Gun that cuts through units very quickly, China has cheap and troublesome Hand Mortars that cut through buildings faster than you can destroy them all.
-USA has it’s own unique and divergent Navy, so does China.
Have you actually played the USA or are still basing your opinions on patch notes?
Interestingly enough, USA is China’s best match up.
And while they may mimic the other civs, they do it very poorly:
They get banks, but they cannot upgrade them to the same level as dutch
They get SW like Germans, but just 5.
They get a few CdB, but their economy is still mostly settler based.
Their cavalry is probably the worst in the game
They may be able to get some of the better revolutionary cavalry units, but they can only train them at forts, and very very slowly, to the point it is not worth training them.
Their early game economy is so trash they literally have to get the factory in age3, otherwise they stand no chance at age3 play.
Their anti cav is so bad that when an enemy fields cav combos, USA may just as well surrender.
Their artillery is trash, the only saving grace is that they have access to culverins.
