Theres a lot of Three Kingdoms stuff that feels repurposed from something else
So, beyond the Khitans being the Tanguts with a single cav archer bonus, the Shu UU looks Tibetan/Bai, the Wei have a Xianbei UU… A new wonder is from the Xianbei too (and the Xianbei are Khitan ancestors)
What are the chances that they intended to give the new stuff to new non Han Chinese civs at some point?
Tanguts and Khitans aren’t related at all. Why on earth would they give Khitans a Tangut Castle when they could’ve chosen from dozens of Liao Dynasty fortifications?
I think because at one point they were developing Tanguts too, but scrapped them in favour of 3 Kingdoms.
Honestly the half-way decent Jurchen civ in there makes this worse.
There is so much awful about this DLC, and I most certainly will NOT be buying it EVER unless the problems are fixed, that it enrages me further that one of the civs I wanted most is locked behind it.
It won’t make me buy the DLC. It will just make me angrier.
Honestly with a tiny bit of effort the devs can turn the Wei into the Khitan (really, the only thing Khitans are missing is a castle, theres a Xianbei UU and wonder you can use for them already) and turn the current Khitan into a pure Tangut civ without any steppe stuff
I think it would be nice but doubt such a change would happen at this point
I may buy this DLC to add Khitan and Jurchen but I’m definitely gonna ban 3 kingdoms civs in the lobby…like what are they thinking? I understand they we have huns, goth and roman but these are 3 different groups of people while wu shu wei are basically one civ but in a civil war, like common…
Also, what’s with those hero units? this is not warcraft 3, no? If they want hero units that badly in the lobby, then put it in chronicle DLC or something…
