Is it needed to make some balance differences between supremacy and treaty?

Both modes are a part of AOE3 (that’s quite different from AOE2, while you never want to play “treaty” with Viking against Teuton), but there should be some different balance between them. There used to be a treaty patch in the former ESOC patch, but it was canceled in DE, thus leading to many weird issues.

Some units are strong in late game and treaty mode, but they’re not in normal games. They get only 40% HP/attack bonus in age V, but still needs 1500 wood and coin to upgrade them. Cuirassier is even a bit weak in 1v1 games due to their slow speed and less resist, but they get nerfed a lot in DE, and “thoroughbred” becomes a funny shipment in age iv (compare to Lakota “mustang”). Lancer now needs 66 seconds to train a batch, while hussar needs 40 seconds and even Indian elephants takes only 60.

These changes didn’t make this game “unplayable”, but they do look “weird” “odd”: that’s the exact description imo. It’s like a planet that doesn’t run a circle in the universe, but in a square path.

It’s time to make a special balance patch for different modes now: lancers and cuirassier gets weaker base stats, and still gets 50% bonus in age v. And give back the original stats to them in 1v1 supremacy, to fix those squares and triangles in AOE3:DE.

exactly. The Changes for Lancers in Sup especially before Age4 are completly non sense. The Reason why those changes are nonsense, idk i dont want to speak about it because its still annoying. it feels completly random actually what the devs doing sometimes.

if you ask me - it is time asap to create a balance server where you should get in the best still active players in this game above 1800 Elo and also of course some guys from the Treaty and DM community

What, as i remember neither Lancers nor cuirassiers get just +40% with the imperial upgrade? Both receive +50% currently i think, there was a time cuirassiers did but no more…

Although i agree with some particular changes like making imperial upgrades only grant +40% for the steppe rider or +60% for Sepoy (i think those should always be +50%), and other stat buff cards, i do not think nor agree nor like the balance split between supremacy and treaty, its unnecessary, everything can be fixed without breaking balance in both modes, and makes it more dynamic, rather than be so rigid and obvious with two completely different modes… Whatever, i could try to explain this further, but i don’t think it’s the right move.

Also, cuirassiers are great now, in TAD they were OP, like quite literally, now they are great, but not OP, they are the #1-2 euro cav just maybe behind in some situations to the cossack but stat wise they are better same pop and same cost than all hussars and many cavalry, their stats are great, wouldn’t change a thing, the only thing that might be a little OP is the age IV card that you mentioned, mustangs is only acceptable because Lakota eco isnt exactly the best, so its okay, but otherwise it would be really OP, the french card is almost equivalent to a +40% HP/atk boost, you have no idea how reduced cost is OP.
