I am not really confident in playing the game, as although I still have space left on my pc, its not a lot and Ihward that (in the past?) the game could delete your files due to a bug.

Yeah, it appears to be fixed. Nobody had reported the issue for months.
I think this could have been both a game bug and a windows bug. Hopefully microsoft patch both the game and windows or else hackers could just recreate what the game did to delete all your files.
