Is there a known or suspected Release Date? Or is it still Work In Progress, ETA unknown?
Most people are guessing late August or October.

“Later this year” is the latest official word. It’s possible a release date will be announced at Gamescom in about 3 weeks.
Probably will announce in Gamescom, but I can kick that will be released in December like the other expansions of the AOE II made by FE … but it’s just a kick.
It was originally released on October 15 (1997). So i can see them shooting for that day. Would be a nice nod don’t you think?

Creo serÃa un buen detalle que la fecha de lanzamiento sea el mismo dÃa, pero no se si quede listo para esa fecha yo creo necesitarán un poco más de tiempo para pulir detalles
Good old 350 mhz gateway 2000 ran AOE 1 very well, Wonder what a icore 7 7700k and gtx 1070 will run AOE DE

Windows store has it listed as 10/19/17, I found this by searching for it on the xbox app on pc, then clicking view in store.

La fecha será el 19 de octubre, un poco después de su lanzamiento histórico. No se porque lo rodaron pero bueno.

They are about to send the first wave of invites today, but it will be a closed (invite-only) beta. No open beta announced yet as far as I am aware of.
