Hello,
Maybe I just messed up in a game yesterday, but I think this might be due to some very weird Unit beheaviour with gates or foundations, so I wanted to investigate if anyone else noticed this behaviour.
So I had a nice m@a rush with 4 man at arms going on in a 1v1 arabia yesterday, I wanted to get in on my opponents woodline, but he made a quick palisade gate towards his TC, which I then attacked instead, but he made it with 3 or 4 vils so it did not go down immidiately.
I look back to my base to make vils, create the first archer and whatnot, and when I go back to my Man at Arms rush in his Base, I see my Man at Arms dying under his TC.
After investigating in the recorded game, I see that the M@A stopped attacking the palisade gate foundation as soon as it was finished building, and instead seemingly target the villagers behind the gate and pathing under the enemys TC to get to the villagers.
So, what was going on there - does the building type somehow change when turning from a foundation into a finished building, causing Units to “untarget” it and look for new targets automatically?
Or does it have someting to do specifically with gates?
Or, am is just too stupid to understand that I somehow misclicked my man at arms to go there?
happy about some insights, because if this is the actual behaviour of units, then it is something that should be looked into.
