Ismail campaign ending

So Ijust finished the Ismail campaign and I don’t even get the ending. What the hell actually happens?I defeated 3 of the 5 enemies which is a win condition and I got the “you are victorious” screen and campaign completion achievement but Ismail’s dialogue and the post game cutscenes make no sense because they make it out as though Ismail actually loses. What is this all about? This was the most confusing campaign ending I have seen yet…

To me it seems the problem to the campaign designers was how to make the scenario play out without setting “lose the scenario” as an objective.

But then comes the real issue…

The whole storytelling in this campaign is baffling to say the least.

lol so wtf actually happens in the end then? He loses? But like… I literally defeated the enemies I was told ot defeat in the objectives. What??? I am so confused…

You mean, in real life? He loses. As Attila loses at the Catalaunian Fields but there we are in his campaign crushing Rome and their friends. The same applies to William Wallace.

The way storytellers found to portray Ismail’s loss is making him have a mini existencial crisis at the end of the scenario. And showing him losing at the start. This game is more legend than history so I guess it’s ok (at least for my taste).

Yea I know he loses in real life. But I thought that would somehow be more clearly depicted in game. Like with the Ottoman army marching into Tabriz or something… but actually winning the scenario in the game and then havin him whine about some nonsense while he is literally defeating all the other players ia just jarring and weird.

Yeah. What they did in the previous scenario was a better way to depict a loss.
