Italian AI unable to "Train" Papal Units

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

The Italian AI are unable to train Papal units from the Basilica. I surmise this is because they are not units to train, nor are they a standard technology which the AI can research. They have the “fakeCard” attribute in the database, although the corresponding buttons that produce papal units have a corresponding tech in the database. Thus, I tried to have the AI create a research plan to produce these units, to no avail.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Create a research plan at a Basilica in the AI code, and have the research tech be cTechDEBasilicaShipPapalGuards2 or some other corresponding Papal Unit technology as listed in techtreey.xml.
  2. Make sure this plan is activated at some point in the code by the AI.
  3. Play a game with the Italian AI – you will not see a papal unit on the field that is acquired through Basilicas.

I expected a research plan to allow these units to be trained, but it did not work.
