Jurchens and Khitans might never get a campaign?

Since Jurchens and Khitans are locked to this DLC ownership, the chance that a future DLC will add a campaign to them seems slim, as they are probably neither giving a full length campaign retroactively to another DLC nor allowing multiple DLCs to unlock the same civ. So unless they are eventually merged into the base game, they may never have an opportunity to have an official campaign.

The Chinese, Koreans and Japanese are also still waiting to get their campaign.
They have been waiting for 26-25 years.

Chinese might not get a campaign either, they have been waiting for 25 years.

Jurchens speak Chinese, Khitguts speak Mongolic. They’re both half baked and the DLC has to be changed asap.

They also owe us a public apology for trying to permanently ruin the game.

Yeah, but those have scenarios and the civs themselves are available to everyone. You can make a campaign for them in a Lord of the West Style DLC, but not for this ones.

But it seems kinda like an East Asian curse to never get a campaign.

This two civs along with Romans are now prisioners of their DLC.

They definitely won’t do this as they don’t do this for V&V either. Apology may lead to lawsuit.

Jurchens and Khitans campaign when ?

I agree! We absolutely need Jurchens, Khitans and Chinese 5 scenarios campaigns.

Im still hoping they just change the Khitans into Tanguts, its not a Khitan civ, at all

Whats the problem with Khitans?

I think every bonus fits well. They were known for their nomadic lifestyle, cavalry and metallurgy.

Here is what I’d do:
Change the Team Bonus to something more relevant to the civ
Remove Mounted Trebuchet
Change Castle
Add Imperial Steppe Lancer

I mean, the infantry bonuses, UUs, lack of heavy cav wonder and castle are Tangut

Theres three Khitan bonuses and thats kinda it (their cav archer, blacksmith and pasture bonuses)

Admitedly those are the strongest bonuses early on

Is the infantry UU based on anythung Liao related?

Yes, a famous type of sword called Liao Dao.

I honestly think if they removed Mounted Trebuchets, replaced Castle&Wonder, they wouldn’t look Tangut at all.

I actually like that they tried to make them distinct from Mongols.

But does it make sense for it to be infantry?

Im pretty sure the Khitan didnt use heavy infantry at all

Persian received a campaign on their rework, but I hope civs won’t need rework to receive campaign. I don’t know if brits were reworked when they get their campaign, but they have one.

But modders can do some campaign, until official campaigns come someday.

I’m abit sad Khitan and Jurchen are not present in the campaign topic, I would have love play them while discovering their story.

In the same sense of how Franks and Poles have Infantry UUs despite being Cavalry based civilizations.

Its not really the same, Khitans were steppe people
