The level designs, the objectives - everything came together brilliantly. The entire campaign delivered a truly immersive experience. And the visuals of some missions were phenomenal !!! 10/10 very solid DLC!
A lot of stuff needs animation, to be selectable, and needs the info filled in for when you read about it.
It was definitely fun and beautiful. Akari and Yasuko were also cool as hell. Probably 2nd best campaign after Fall of the Trident. However Ludicrous was bit too easy. When I checked in editor some of the scenarios didn’t even have ludicrous difficulty different than Titan. The ending also felt bit rushed and 2 missions felt so much the same that only reason I knew it wasn’t same map was because of the map rotation.
I feel like they should disable additional TCs/Village Centers in some of the missions if they are not balancing Ludicrous around players having multiple TCs
I also spotted couple bugs, namely shinigamis deleting the patrols or yumi horse archers have 200 attack. Also Abe No Seimei has no healing animation but can heal
I’d say this is an example of a good RTS campaign. Great story, excellent missions.
I’ll add a couple of bugs. In the cave mission, the patrols are killed by spirits, and their detection circle doesn’t move. Therefore, you’re 100% detectable. And in the final cutscene, where Yasuko (OMG, I remembered her name) says goodbye, the landscape flickers.
Ludicrous is just a technology that increase enemy unit stats and gather rate/trainign rate, it’s not a “proper” difficulty like Titan
I just had the time to finish this on ludicrous. I was kinda hoping the father dude was the bad guy but I guess Microsoft doesn’t have the guts to do a “Culling of Stratholme“ or “No Russian“ moment.
The final mission was kinda meh, clearly a redo of the Atlantis norse titan level. It was also pretty easy, if you save all the villages you get a ridiculous eco boost and you can snowball from there.
I had a unit get stuck in those banners that are randomly placed around the map, and I got discovered by the guards that way LOL.
