[Just for fun] Unique bonuses for hypothetical new civs

Villagers +1 carry capacity per Town Center.
Coinage and Banking also increase trade profit by 10%.

Swahili:

Naval and Defensive civilization

• Houses replaced with Nyumba (Costs 10 Stone. Fires one arrow. (2 pierce attack, 3 second reload, cannot garrison units))

• Can build Coral Walls, upgrade for free to Stone walls in Feudal.

• Stone miners drop off 20% more Stone

• Masonry, Architecture Free, and affect Ships

Unique Unit:

• Mtebe Marine
(Swahili pistolier 5/7 pierce damage and Melee 4/6 melee attack 0/1 base armor.)
Fires a pistol at 3-5 range; switches to blade fighting at point-blank range. (Dead zone at 1-2 range)
Mtebe Marine uniquely benefit from Archer Armor and Melee Attack upgrades.

Unique Techs:

• Bandari Guard (Mtepe Marines train 25% faster and gain +2 bonus damage versus siege weapons and monks.)

• Coastal Assault (Mtebe Marines now ALSO benefit from Archer Attack upgrades and Melee Armor upgrade in the blacksmith. Can now also climb stone walls without need of a siege tower.)

Note: The Swahili do not Get Blast Furnace or Ring Archer Armor

Team Bonus:
• Trade Carts and Trade Cogs move 15% faster, +2 LoS

The Swahili have a below average military. Crossbowman, Cavalier, 2 handed swordsman, Pikeman, Light Cavalry, Weak Siege, and missing key upgrades. Their UU is their only real chance. This is by design as their bonuses are quite substantial for defense, usually allowing them to setup fairly well. A civ designed to be a defensive flank. A very unique niche. Though the Mtebe is quite weak to Cavalry Archers, the Swahili do get access to Heavy Camel Riders, though they aren’t impressive.

Feedback welcome!

CB - Gain a fourth tier of melee attack and infantry armour upgrades at the blacksmith available in Imp. +2 attack and +1/2 armour.

CB - For every research made all other researches are cheaper and faster researched by 1%. Including unit line upgrades. Max 30%?

CB - Shock Infantry have +2 to their armour classes.

TB - Units trained from the Monastery are 10% cheaper.

About the Romans:

I hate their 5% bonus to everything for free, without requiring any investment.

What about giving them +1 Villager at the start and making the first 4 Farms free? The numbers could obviously be tweaked.

That’s Maya.

Romans need a nerf. But I’ll probably ask to nerf their stable.

+1 carry capacity per Ecotech

Attack Upgrade give + 1% Attack Speed for infantery

Swivel gun UT

Here a demonstration of a swivel gun

An unique technology from imperial age who add a volley of bullet to be fired by non siege warship. This technology function like the Shinkichon technology for the turtle ship. The ship have two attack mode, one normal and one is a voley of bullet (like the handcannoneer or the organ gun).

CB - All villagers, except farmers, drop off 3% more resources.

CB - Individual units with enough military kills upgrade to their next tier for free.

CB - Foot soldiers gain increased move speed the less health they have.

TB - buildings that don’t contain units or upgrades, except farms, cost 20% less wood.

UU Ability - In reference to youtube.com/shorts/VwfJ8yM0rQY attacks temporality reduce the attack speed of the target by 0.2 up to 5 times

This wont matter much unless you run away from a slow enemy like TK.

This is very interesting but what happens when you research the normal upgrade and all units change?one possibly way would be you only have 2HS units but units with enough kills would upgrade to champions.

  • Armor upgrades affect bonus damage resistance

  • Enemy Town Centers researching age up are visible

A civ only getting spearmen but the spearmen get a ranged charge attack similar to skirms that has a short cooldown.

  • The cost of an age up reduces by 1% for each technology researched (no unit upgrades, age up techs don’t count towards it).
That would mean when all tech are available and researched.
    -1% for Feudal Age → 495 Food
    -15% for Castle Age → 680 Food 170 Gold
    -52% for Imperial Age → 480 Food 384 Gold
