where are the devs? where is the quality of life (qol) they promised? why don’t they seem anywhere (here, discord) to inform about what will happen on the holidays? ppl are waiting and hoping for something (maybe a good patch) after the the previous one wasn’t even a patch they gave up the game?and if so why don’t they come out to say it?the communication means the manager asks and informs the ppl.why are they playing with ppl’s hopes.?we didn’t buy the game?we didn’t support it?why this treatment ?

Nothing makes any sense. I’ve stopped frequenting the forums (I check on it once every two weeks now) and playing the game altogether.
Lost interest, lost hope, lost trust. All preventable. Very, very preventable.

These past months I’ve only open the game once a week just to collect the free portrait, since the skin rotation has completed the loop and nothing new added or fixed

On unrelated notes, Heroes of the Storm, the game that supposedly already dead before Activision was bought by Microsoft. This year alone they got 5 live balance patch and several PTR. Similarly, SC2 also got 2 live patch this year.

Everyone is curious about this. It has always felt like they threw that morsel of ‘info’ out just to keep the AoE3 mob sated, with WE thinking that we are all simpletons. I don’t think much work was done on it and needless to say it got pushed back.

The entire franchise lacks on the communication front, it is not just AoE3.
If I had to guess, the devs are still allotted to AoMR because the game still has lots of bugs, it is underperforming in player counts and it the patches don’t seem to be picking up speed at all. That game needed weekly patches to address all the technical issues…
Another point is that probably many devs were laid off because it makes Microsoft look good to stakeholders when that happens.

They improved their communication a lot recently. The last one was addressing exactly what you are into. They even communicated that they will communicate soon 
I can’t wait until they communicate that they will communicate in the future about their communication.

Interestingly, I think their style of communication hasn’t changed much. When we were getting patches every month or two the communication seemed good because we were getting it with the patches. I think we still get some communication around the patches, it’s just we get so few now.

It has been well over a year since we’ve gotten a WotH in the patch notes. Maybe approaching two years now.
