Language sets everytime to system's default after today's patch

Everytime I start the game, it’s set to the system default language (my case, Portuguese), even though the game configuration is set to english (even the language menu dropdown is selected in English, but all texts are portuguese).

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

1. have a system set to a language different than you use in the game
2. the game will use the system language, not it’s own configured language

EXPECTED RESULT

^{What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?}
The game keep the chosen language in menu, even after closing/opening the game.

(game in portuguese even though the menu is set to English. after the confirmation the game changes to english, but resets after closing the game)

The game language change has been added to our Known Issues list now. To workaround this issue please navigate to the settings and then change the language from your preferred / default, save, and then change it back to the preferred language again.

I believe everyone was already doing this to get the preferred language temporarily but when you close and open the game the language is lost again.

But I noticed I can save any other language but english, all others persist on game reopen.

I found a temporary solution.

1. Go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AoE2DE\resources”
2. Rename your not wanted language folder to something else, in my case “br” to “br.off”
