Let’s talk about the Poles (the Baltic powers)

Hello everyone—greetings, and I hope you’re doing well. This post goes hand-in-hand with the one about the Danes; just like in the previous post, the idea here is to gather the opinions and suggestions of all forum members so we can let the developers know what we really want for the new DLC.

Personally, I don’t have much to say about the Poles, as I feel this civilization is better designed and more polished than the Danish one—which clearly still needs work before launch. One suggestion I’d make to the developers is to please change the Winged Hussar portrait in the stables; it needs an update so it doesn’t feel like a holdover from the old House of Vasa native unit. Ideally, the Winged Hussars should be reworked from scratch to eliminate any traces of that former Vasa native unit. I also think the Winged Hussars’ stats need reviewing; their cost simply doesn’t justify their attack and defense values. There are two options here: either keep the current cost but boost their stats, or lower the cost and simply readjust the stats so the unit remains balanced. I also noticed a visual glitch—I can’t recall if it happens when upgrading to Veteran or Guard status—where the unit looks dark, as if it isn’t fully finished. So, those are my suggestions for the Polish civilization: primarily a rework of the Winged Hussars—revamping their stats and cost, and updating the unit portrait. Let me know what other changes you think the Polish civilization needs.

Yes, it’s clear that Poland is the queen in this DLC and that Denmark is just kind of “just showing up” haha…

Well, that sounded a bit harsh, but yes—that is indeed how things are for now.

Their eco has to be nerfed, they reach 1.66 f/s + 0.17c/s on folwarks without idle time. Plus 1.5 from taverns amd distributism on top of factory and sjem (stronger at max pop).

Then, they have fulling mills pigs and an infinute fur trade.

It just doesnt seem fair.

I think you mean eco in Treaty. In 1v1 Supremacy I would say Polish eco actually could be even a little too weak without normal villiger shipments or other early-mid game eco bonuses other civ has. Will see.

Treaty and teamgames, may players play those modes.

I would give them some kind of villagers cards similar to the ones they already have like “X vills + 1 per each 2 military/houses/TCs…”

I agree that the winged hussar should either have his cost reduced or have slightly better stats. This unit should be the big star of the Polish civ but right now, they are very cost ineffective and the retainer is a much better choice. However, I think the winged hussar’s portrait and visual are perfectly fine as they are. I don’t get why you want to “eliminate the traces”.

They are leftovers from the House of Vasa; that content shouldn’t be available anymore for obvious reasons—new DLC, new unit; that’s how it works. You can’t create and sell new content by reusing assets from something old, especially when the unit in question is the civilization’s signature unit. They went so far as to remove everything related to Winged Hussars from the House of Vasa and added a new unit with new technology; the same should be done for the Winged Hussars—they should be treated as a new military unit built at the Stables, not as a native unit of the House of Vasa.

yo no quiero soltar ningun veredicto por que directamente las tasas de recolección de los colonos estan buggeados

Imperial Winged Hussar native warrior (3 cavalry specific upgrade cards + native techs) vs Imperial Gendarme

Love those native Winged Hussars and wish the Poles ones had area of effect on their normal attack.

I notice that they have practically the same stats as a Gendarme, but with the difference that Winged Hussars are much more expensive, which ultimately makes them not very cost-effective. This is an issue that needs to be addressed; Winged Hussars need a cost adjustment.
