The music can be Hip/Hop for all I care as long as it is great.
I don’t have issues with musical themes specific for each civ, I never actually said that. I hate it when people twist my words, you should read what I’ve said before making outrageous claims.
I don’t think I can emphasize enough how mistaken this belief is. Sure you can find great Hip/Hop music if that’s what you like, pop, hard rock or whatever, but the game’s music has to match with the general setting and atmosphere of the game. It’s not a completely separate asset. It’s part of the game’s direction. It can’t just be whatever.
Maybe Trap music is great for me does that mean it could be added?
See how Civilization does it. It has a general soundtrack, that actually catches the spirit of the game just perfectly, it’s incredible, it’s a hymn to humanity and to civilization. Then you get separate small soundtracks for each civ which actually progress through the ages. It’s an amazing detail and adds to the immersion so much.
Nobody twisted your words, I literally quoted what you said I am glad that you changed your mind now because that’s all what this thread is about, civ specific soundtracks. You just went to disagree calling it unecessary historical accuracy.
And then you even went a step further to say that nobody will notice the music You have to decide what’s your main argument here.
music should to be more vivid and unique instead of mixed.I like the music of AOE 2 rather than that of AOE 3 because music of AOE 2 has high melodic tune.
Now, if more music was to be added to Age of Empires IV, I do hope that World’s Edge can contact Stephen Rippy so he can once again compose songs for the Age of Empires major titles.
