Issue: ‘Lock Mouse to Window’ setting no longer works properly with secondary displays

Before some uncertain one of the most recent patches, when having the game Display Settings set to Windowed, Full Desktop, or Borderless Fullscreen, the Lock Mouse to Window toggle caused the cursor to remain locked to the game window when the game window was active in the foreground, and when switching to another window (via Alt-Tab) on a secondary display, the cursor was then able to exit the confines of the Age of Empires IV window and interact in the other, now-active window. Now, however, when these settings are selected, switching to another window on a secondary display leaves the cursor still restricted to the confines of the AoEIV window and display on which AoEIV is running. This makes using a secondary display while AoEIV is running impossible.

Trigger Event: Use Alt-Tab to switch to window active on secondary display while AoEIV is running in Windowed, Full Desktop, or Borderless Fullscreen on primary display

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch Cardinal.exe on primary display in Windowed, Full Desktop, or Borderless Fullscreen mode with Lock Mouse to Window toggled on
  2. Launch another program on secondary display, for instance a web browser or media player
  3. Return to AoEIV window
  4. Attempt to use Alt-Tab to switch to program on secondary display and move cursor to interact within the window
  5. Observe as cursor refuses to exit confines of AoEIV
