Can the devlopers change the Denamarquese Gun. (Hausa Card). Which set Maigadi cost to 100 Gold 100 Influence. Change that to 100 Gold and 100 Food. It would make them more usable on 1v1.
please no. price is perfectly fine
ando jogando muito com hausa e essa unidade muito forte ela deve continuar com seu preço normal além de ser na minha opinião o melhor musketer do jogo por 1 de POP. o segredo e focar em construir universidades e treinar ovelhas e vacas.
I would become them more expensive hahaha, not cheaper
i actually really like the way maigadi are costed right now. it lets them be a power spike unit, either with selling cattle, a big midgame push, a influence spike tech, and i like the way dane guns is available to either let you get more unita total from your influence, at the cost of needing coin available. I treat them like mercs, but with multiple avenues to access them. Dane guns has opportunity cost, the age 3 shipment of 9 + hero is really Amazing, they can be massed relatively consistently if you get a full uni boom, i think they’re a really well thought out aspect of Hausa
the cost is fair, it is a very powerful unit but expensive, I would not change a thing. I think it’s balanced
I like the cost breakdown as it is. If you’re too stupid to macro properly like me, than it at least gives you the option to make something if you run low on food.
I totally agree. Maigadi, as the best musket in the game, should cost influence and require multiple cards, like they do. The option to have a unit cost less influence via a card to make it actually practical to make enough of them is really good. For example, the ‘zoave’ as hausa costs 300 influence each. Who can afford 300 influence each? It isn’t a practical unit. However with Dane guns, you are still encouraged to build universities/tc/palace to be able to make enough of them, but the cost becomes ‘doable’ to use it in a two unit combination as the main units you are making.
I only wish there was a comparable card for Ethiopians to make the use of elephants more practical (its why you never see Ethiopia use them). There is a tech which makes elephants cheaper, but the tech itself costs a whopping 1200 and it doesn’t make them that much cheaper and they still cost only influence. A ‘dane guns’ version that splits the elephant cost between influence and gold would be so cool!
This is only one of many reasons they don’t make them. The other aspects of the India age up are also really bad. By the time you get to age 3, the useful window for the market techs is almost over. The Villager with shipments tech also isn’t great because shipment frequency has slowed and you can boom off multiple TCs by then. To make the age up more lucrative, Goa Followership could send a cow and villager with each shipment and Good Will Agreements could do something like making elephants and cannons cost 25% coin. As it is there are just too many other age ups that are practically essential for Ethiopia to get to even bother with India.
And overall most things that the Africans need to spend influence on are too expensive to be viable. Splitting costs would be a good way to fix this. For example, if natives costed 20% wood and 80% influence you could train natives and cannons, not natives or cannons. A similar cost split could be done for artillery too. And it would also give you an option to actually make something if you were floating wood or coin.
