Man at Arm in feudal age needs to be Resolved

Bro lets say you defeat man at arms but the time they make your villagers stay idle is a huge damage to your eco.French knights they can dive in to your tc to kill one villager and escape without dying you are behind now too.Every early heavy units needs to have lowered range armor.

No that would encourage turtle play too much.

Its not that hard to defend maa, if you build proper outpost, walls, and then fast castle.

Against knights just make a few spears.

Spears dont work against knight because if they want they can attack you anywhere and you wont have spears everywhere.Like knights dive in to wood gatherers inside my tc attack range kill 1 and run.Only option is counter offensive.

Honestly it’s not that hard to park spears where needed for a good chunk of the early game, you have one wood line and a gold if you need outside food sources it just mean that you have to park the larger part of your military there.
What may make it a bit more difficult if the pup goes more or less 1 to 1 live is that making quick pallisade to block entrance or create shoke points will be way more taxing to the economy.

I’ve seen a game played by GiveUAnxiety vs Beasty, French vs HRE, and GUA made only Knights all game, Beasty made only Spears all game, and Beasty won by just zoning his Knights. And those were Royal Knights, that heal.

Im talking about early game i also see a knight butchered beasty’s villagers under tc and he said why they are not dying

The role of MAA is to tank and soft-counter almost all trash units that can be made from Feudal.

There are very few civilizations in the game that can really have “problems” against that, but those civs can use their defenses (fortified outposts with arrowslits) while raiding the opponent or FC.

It’s really more of a mid/low level problem because of not knowing how to prepare well for such an attack.
