This is widely accepted and almost all AOE series have added map information to the loading page to remind the player.
Why is there no map information on the AOE4 loading page? You can only see information about team members.

There is the name of the map in the left center side while loading…
which is still far less than older titles
What do you mean? That is basically all AoE2 shows about the map other than the map size.
They could add the thumbnail of the map which would be nice.
