Issue: Why bring back the original mapset…
–The original maps each required a different playstyle.
–Certain maps benefited a rush or boom… this lead to risk and reward.
–Some maps benefited certain civs, others benefited certain civ powers.
–The resources were distributed very differently on each map, required players to think.
–These unique maps also made scouting a big part of the game.
The ESO mapset expected more from players and helped determine the actual best player in ranked.
The current mapset is an absolute joke, didn’t you guys think this through. All the maps are very similar but just with a different skin, the game will get boring very quickly.
Blue Lagoon, Elysium, ###a and Nile Shallows are all very similar maps; the same playstyle can be used for all these maps… now compare these maps to Tundra, Ghost Lake, Midguard and Med… you guys need to use some common sense.
I understand that new players don’t like water maps, we all were like this back in 2003 when AoM was release but once you learn how to play water, they were extremely fun.
