Is this _really_ necessary? Even CK3, which is way more granular than AoE in cultural division, groups Swiss with Swabians and Austrians with Bavarians.

true, that would fit for a future Teutonic DLC with Saxons (repeated, but this time with Luther etc), Swabians, Austrains

Yes, they can all be in a single German/Alpine DLC and that’s it…

Or even better, just replace the whole of europe with one “germanic tribes” civ, thats enough.

Or go further, replace the whole the whole world with one civ, the “Indo-germanics and stuff”. One civ, thats enough!
