Hera isn’t my favorite pro but this is unjust. No evidence to support he’s “sold out” so that’s overly presumptuous. Second of all, this is a player who plays the game instead of working 40 hours a week. Things get dull after a while meaning that variation is more likely to be his goal than money. Third of all, he does have an argument; that since heroes are a core part of the game in campaigns they could be an element(even if commonly irrelevant) in ranked.
Again, Hera is not my favorite player to watch, but come on, we can’t just be down thumbing him for clearly presenting this as an opinion. Especially when we don’t have any evidence to support he’s “sold out”.

He mainly looked at the gameplay side and indeed given their cost and the still modest boost made by the aura effect, they aren’t game-breaking.

No matter who tries to twist words. We cannot accept such shit to ruin the game. Heroes are totally totally absurd in skirmish.
It is unacceptable. He may have thought maybe it’s time to calm down the situation and maybe try to change our minds to buy their game. No this isn’t acceptable. Never! Devs need to reverse their decision. We won’t compromise.

Also you now cross a new line with an attempt to “target” individual content creators just because they aren’t completley “on your side” with your demands. Maybe you expected from Hera to take that position because he somehow has a reputation to take sides with very vocal parts of the comminity.

yeah so downvoting a completely irrelevent video won’t really mean jack to devs. If it was significant enough it might make Hera not do more videos on heros but ultimately ever since youtube removed public downvotes, no one cares.
Also, the heroes are fine. I’d prefer if they were unamed to help make it cleaner for the more historical purists, but gameplay wise they aren’t anything like heroes in other games.

Exactly, we aren’t fighting Hera hence we shouldn’t go around down thumbing his videos showing his opinions just because we disagree with him. If he was saying “Heroes should be allowed and anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot”, I would totally down thumb, but no, he is just displaying his opinion and even asking for others opinions. I disagree with a lot of the views on heroes but I really enjoy hearing others’ perspectives and talking it out. If those perspectives were removed it would take a lot of the enjoyment out of debates on this forum.

He brought in 3 very solid arguments
- The heroes will not be removed. They are already part of the game and part of the reason why people bought the DLC. Removing them could cost them money if people start refunding the game or review bomb it.
- The heroes actually have little to no influence on who is winning a game.
- Giving every civilisation a hero would add a lot of flavour to the game without actually really impacting the gameplay and it would make the 3 new civs less different.
