Because a while ago icons of Japanese units such as the samurai and the naginata were leaked for aoe 4…
That’s for sure… the other is that it is Chola or Japanese…
Spain will arrive either with Aztecs in a dlc type “the Conquest of the New World” or with Moors in a dlc type “La Reconquista”…
that one looks like AOE3 DE water and samurai xD
No, it was icons of units like those of aoe 4, but I understand your point…
let me also add, they havent added any extra fauna yet… just those deer and upsetting annoying wolves… AOE3DE set the bar high in that sense and I thought this game was gonna be even better in that
those are fan made , ive seen them too ,autor confirmed it was a concept ![]()
Sure, the maps of aoe 4 feel empty with almost no wildlife… on the other hand those of aoe 3 you have the herds and different types of fauna … and not to mention the maritime fauna (different types of fish, whales to bite coins, maritime treasures with sharks and orcas and so on a long etc)…
Heroic
These animals can be controlled but cannot be killed.
Huntable
Gatherable
Yes, a pity the truth… although I do not rule out that they will do so later…
aoe4 is getting new animals with this new dlc tho , the cow i think…
i guess the cow is created especifically in that civ only, it is not a new animal
its a new animal , because its a damn cow but its an unique animal of a civ .
But its still an animal
hahaha you are right, I was trying to say that you wont find wild cows in all the maps like the list of animals I saw above. Cows are only for that civ
yeah very few animals for an aaa game
Do we know that the cow is a unit within the Malians? Or is it perhaps a Gaia unit on new maps?Something else?
The Malians page on the website says:
They’re able to construct Pit Mines on top of Gold Deposits to automatically generate a steady stream of gold over time and can invest that gold back into their unique Cattle food source.
OK. Sounds like they are going to be sacred deer from the Celts in AoEO then, though unlikely to have a secondary use other than a food source, such as sacrificed to perform rites to buff the civ. I presume they will be trained either from that unique gold building or from the mill or something similar.
Yeah probably. I assume it is not just tied to a landmark with the way they worded it in the general overview, but there is a landmark looking building next to cows in a screenshot. So they probably have a landmark that is tied to the cows, but also have a default way to get the cows.
If they are going to add more gaia sometime I think deer and wolves would be the easiest to replace for different biomes.
Boar almost need to stay pigs of some kind due to the balance with muslim civs.
Maybe they could do goats or something for sheep, but some of the AoE2 options, for example, like turkeys may not look great with the bounding after scouts mechanic (neither would the cows).
I am not sure then this cow actually counts as a new animal any more than a cavalry unit counts as an animal. The cow is a unit inside a civ. It’s not a Gaia unit on a map.
Yeah it doesn’t sound like it is, although maybe it is possible for anyone to eat them, like if they are given to other players or an enemy takes over the area.
