Issue 1 : melee units sometimes stop attacking after you right click a target. It happens in all stances, aggressive, defensive, stand ground.

Issue 2 : They change their targets even when repeatedly clicked onto a specific target. It happens the most with scouts. I click a certain villagers, they spot for a split second, and attack a lot of different ones. Again, this happens with all stances, aggressive, defensive, stand ground.

Issue 3 : BY FAR the most annoying. It feels impossible to move units forward in a formation with 20+ numbers. The front line goes to the back, the back line goes to the front, instead of just moving forward eventhough they’re already perfectly placed in their formation. This feels the worst microing archers or siege, siege just endlessly swivel around themselves like a caterpillar bouncing back and forth. I have to separately micro groups of 10 units among my stack of 60 to be able to properly move them forward. I don’t understand why they need to rearrange themselves constantly like that.

  2. Madness happens randomly

They are supposed to do exactly what they are asked to do.

I can provide a video for the 3rd bug because it happens consistently, however, the first 2 bugs happen randomly.

First of all, thanks for this detailed report :slight_smile:
The first issue you describe, it’d be clearly a bug, we’re investigating it but having a video or a rec would be very handy.
The second issue is pretty much by design, for no target switching you should use ctrl + right click.
I already talked with the team about the third issue you mentioned.

Ah, it’s good that you guys are aware of the 3rd issue. When I think about how formations work in Age of Mythology, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work the same in Age of Empires.

I hope that my other post about villagers pathing can be taken seriously although I didn’t supply a video. It’s hard to know when to record.
