the game starts to slow down and becomes unplayable.

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)
    all of the matches since the new patch & steam update

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. start game
  2. pay game
  3. game slows to a crawl and becomes unplayable

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

Hi @SodaPopinski9
Do you have this problem just in MP games? Did you try SP games?
Could it be a problem with your internet connection, like a firewall?
Do you have Windows and graphic card driver up to date?

Hi Felizon89,

It also slows down in all my SP games, so it isn’t an internet or firewall issue. I disabled all of my mods and it was still an issue. My intel driver is up-to-date (version 31.0.101.3889) so that isn’t the issue but I also rolled back to version 30.0.101.1660 and it still didn’t work.

This seems related to the issue I had a few months ago (Game crashing in Castle Age - #23 by SodaPopinski9) but it is different because (1) this is happening much earlier, (2) this isn’t causing the game to crash, and (3) rolling back the driver solved that issue but isn’t working here.

I’m still having the above issue. Happens in single player and multi player games, happens with my mods disabled, and happens even after trying older video drivers.

Just to update you that my game is still unplayable due to the memory/lag issues.
