:backhand_index_pointing_down: DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
At some point I noticed that my Portuguese ally stopped to remake farms. All his food gatherer villages are tasked to shepherd probably because I sent some captured herdables to my ally’s TC. The ai is gathering wood, and got the Fetoria income again (I recaptured the said Fetoria) plus some fishing ships. Important note, the farms are not there as in “they stopped gathering there and moved to another source”, they are “not there anymore” as in “farm ran out of food and was not rebuilt and dissapeared after enought time elapsed” (I saw only the ground alteration due to farm construction, not the farms out of food themselves).

  • ???% Only tested Once, and noticed after 3 hours of ingame time.

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

:backhand_index_pointing_down: List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Captured some regional-sheep variants on one of the camp on the east side of the map.
  2. Sent them to my ally town center so he can gather food from them.
  3. Recaptured the Fetoria, returned all 3 merchant to the portugues TC, and defeated the 9 local tribes so I got all the benefits from my ally. After that I noticed the food gatherer idle in shepherd task.

Side Note: Before capturing them, I saved the game many hours before, and loaded the game to continue playing it. I doubt it caused the isuse as there was farms when I sent the herdables to my ally’s TC.

:play_button: EXPECTED RESULT

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
Ally AI to recreate farms when his other food sources are exhausted.

:play_button: IMAGE

:backhand_index_pointing_down: ALWAYS attach a PICTURE (.jpg, .png, .gif) or VIDEO (.mp4, YouTube link) that highlights the problem.
Can’t really screenshot the thing, nor capture it, as it’s only the result I saw and now the process of the npc abandonning the farms to collect from herdables. Currently I just got some idles villagers

:play_button: GAME FILES (SAVE / RECORDING)

:backhand_index_pointing_down: Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe2spgame) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe2record) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.

  • I’ve not completed the scenario yet as I’m reporting, so I’ll try to save the captureage game record if I don’t forget to do so.

I’m seeing the same behavior in the 5th mission of the Cuman campaign. After 2hours of ingame time, the blue hungarian ally (I choose hungary over bulgaria) stop making farms, while he got tons of lumber villagers.

The similarity between the two scnearios is that the ally send me tribute and attack an ennemy. In the cuman scenario one he captured at some point a Trade Workshop, eventually generating also passivly resources like the Feitoria. The blue AI got one farmer and like 10 fisherman and all his farms arround his original town centers are just not there anymore, he’s not hunting nor gathering food from bushes too.

However, in this cuman mission he also got some units in garrison on his town center and his towers, probably the farmer that he never unloaded from the garrison. I don’t remember any garrisoned unit in the Tupi campaign but maybe it’s the same issue, some units locked inside towers.
