:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
When searching for a mod, the mod list does not show the search results even when the full mod name has been typed out…

But, if the user backspaces the whole search field, suddenly the search will execute.

And if we restart the mod menu and try searching again, but this time typing absurdly slow (2 seconds per character), suddenly the search executes just fine.

As I see it, there are two potential solutions to this problem, one is that the mod search is fixed so that it can execute the search no matter how fast the user types their search. The other, which is probably easier, and will also make the search more intuitive to use, is to implement an execute search function by making the search execute once the user hits enter (currently, enter key has no functionality in the mod search). A dedicated search button to the right of the search field along with enter key search execution could also be good.

 List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Click cogwheel
  2. Click mods
  3. Click browse mods
  4. Click search field
  5. Type in search for mod name currently not on list with average pace (60+ wpm)
  6. Observe that nothing has been searched
  7. Press enter
  8. Observe nothing happening

 What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The search is supposed to execute once the user has finished typing their search (regardless of typing speed) OR the search is supposed to execute once the user hits enter
