MODS won't work

Age of Empires II: DE II - Report a Bug

  • Platform: Steam

Issue:

I downloaded some mods and they just won’t work. I tried downloading simple mods such as “Age of Empires II DE: Night Edition Main Menu” (Mods that only change the main menu)

Here’s what I did:

  1. I downloaded the MODS from the MODS tab in-game.
  2. I “subscribed” to said MODS.
  3. I closed the game and re-launched it so they could be applied.
  4. I checked if they were “Enabled”… and they were.
  5. I downloaded more mods (Thinking that the first one I installed was useless) and repeated the same steps.

Also, I don’t think the “special characters” thingy applied to me as a “solution”. (My username contains only 3 words with no special characters, 2 spaces and nothing else)

Any leads?

The “special character” thingy isn’t about your steam username, it’s about your windows username. Maybe that’s what you meant, I don’t know, just want to be sure you’re aware.
