:backhand_index_pointing_down: DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.

Modstatus.json is broken. When you unsubscribe from a mod it puts that command into the end of modstatus.json. When you then reopen the game, it can occour that the unsub command is still there, meaning that if you download that mod again, the mod will be unsubscribed automatically on next bootup.

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

:backhand_index_pointing_down: List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

  1. Unsubscribe from a mod (there might be a correlation with the mod size so the bigger the more likely?)
  2. Go back to the menu
  3. Close the game
  4. Open the game
  5. Subscribe to the mod again (Btw. why no UX feedback when updating mods → “Mod was successfully updated from version 1.1 to 1.2”, or “Mod is already up to date”)
  6. Close the game again
  7. Mod is now gone because the unsub command is still stuck in modstatus.json

:play_button: EXPECTED RESULT

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

Mod status stays up to date and removes the unsub command upon the mod being unsubscribed (if its unsubscribed you don’t need a command)

I’ve run into this bug as well. Had to manually edit mod-status.json to remove the mods from the unsub list. Certain mods were always unsubscribed on restarting the game, until the file was edited. A workaround until this gets fixed.
