Not sure when this bug showed up, or if others are experiencing it as well, but monks sometimes don’t show their healing animation, when they are, in fact, healing
Here is a short video showing the bug: https://youtu.be/PjHpClKhhs4
In the video, the hero unit is constantly taking damage over time, to allow the monks to be able to heal
Sometimes the healing monk will stare in the direction it is healing, but not wave its arms
I’ve also had issues with monks not healing injured ally units, but I’ll try to get footage of that and report it separately
Hi @TertiaryFall24
Thanks for your constant help in improving the game. We are now tracking this issue with the monks’ animation. As you stated, the monks keep healing units, but for some reason, the animation stops.
Thanks Ivan
Also here is a short video showing ally monks not auto healing nearby injured units
This bug is more rare than the monks just looking at allies, but healing the allies
Not sure what causes the monks to not heal injured
In the video, I can see an ally monk healing the unit. Do you mean that not all ally monks available are healing the same unit?
So, normally one monk will automatically start healing an injured unit once the injured unit comes close to it
In the first of the 2 clips, I manually clicked the monk and right clicked to heal myself with the monk because I noticed not one of the monks were automatically healing me
The second clip better demonstrates it, as I did not manually heal with my monk in the second clip
Does this issue happen in this scenario only? Were you able to reproduce this issue in other scenarios or maps?
I’ve been trying to reproduce this issue, but allies monks are auto-healing my units. I am not sure if this issue can be triggered by some particular trigger on this map
I’ve noticed it only on this map so far
The monk is a hero monk (Chand Bardai)
I will see if I can fix the monks not auto healing using triggers
Also, I was not able to reproduce it in map editor, only in multiplayer testing
@IvanHCastro
I’ve figured out what causes the monks to not automatically heal injured units
Here is a short video showing the bug
It’s caused by two monks. The first monk is automatically healing the injured unit, but the injured unit moves away before being full healed, the monk tries to move towards the injured unit, and gets stuck in the movement animation. The monk stuck in the movement animation still counts as a monk healing the injured unit, preventing the second monk from being able to start automatically healing.
Because only 1 monk can automatically heal at a time, if a monk is in movement animation frozen, no second monk will be able to start automatically heal the injured unit until the first monk that is frozen in the movement animation is stopped, or moved or whatever it takes to stop trying to move towards the injured unit to heal it.
Let me know if you would like me to explain it further
@TertiaryFall24
Great explanation! I was able to repro the issue, and as you said, the problem is when the monk gets stuck in the movement. I made the team aware of this issue.
Thanks for your help!
