Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. follow screenshot
  2. add 152 task to a unit to target cavalry or infantry class, whichever
  3. test in game and it applies to other enemy military units as well regardless of class set in the GENIE

Are you sure this task is entirely handled by the game ?
I mean, what vanilla unit do you know of use it with a Class target filter ?

The “class” section of task does not mean necessarly it will be read by the game as such. Have yo tried with unit specific targeting instead of class ?

yea in my post it says unit id and class but its just target a predefined class by the engine. mostly military including king, monk, vills, prey animal, live stock etc. maybe the box attribute mode “1” more or less living thing has an effect. nevertheless its a new task thats added so assuming the support will comein the future but since they added it and function is there, just incomplete.

also, I wish it’ll apply to ally units as well sadly it doesnt.

I’d bet on War Elephant for Chronicles civ with new trample damage mechanics, like…Macedonian / Hindou-kushits. Or maybe Scythed chariots, we’ll have to wait and see.

Have you tested the task on different unit type ? I mean with different class types, with or without blast damage effect, combat ability and so on.
Also the “Search Wait Time” field might do something.

I was wondering few days ago how this task worked, I’ll definitly dive on it. Maybe the Special Ability field influence something too. Will do some tests on my own.
