Any reason why the hitbox of the mule cart doesn’t match the graphics? Seems like two different teams worked on it without any meetings in between. The mule cart is looooong and clunky but the hitbox is smaller than a single tile
Probably balance reasons.
Mule Carts don’t cost any population and have the HP of an Elite Battle Elephant.
Also they are considered buildings, meaning that units don’t prioritise them with their auto attacks.
If their hit box would be big they could easily be abused for blocking enemy movement and taking damage.
A large hitbox would probably also cause a lot of issues with villager path finding.
Both valid points, but in that case why not make the graphics more fitting? Like a 2-wheel cart to make it shorter
There is Smaller Mule Cart mod if that’s any help.
I assume they made the model first and then noticed that it caused balance issues so the reduced the hitbox later.
Also it would look strange if it was a lot smaller looking then a building.

For the unit the Hitboxes are aknist a bit too big for my taste.
But at the same time it’s so bad you can’t really effectively use them for your miniature walls.
I hope devs will just give them 2 differenent stances, one with a smaller hitbox and one that basically works as a 2x2 building, that can’t move.
