I have repeatedly proposed a healthy solution:
make a ranked queue without any of these non-medieval civs. If they want to save face they can even just make it a vanilla DE civs only queue, or a “classic” queue with only aok/aoc civs are pre-DE civs.
As opposed to you who’s gaslighting people with genuine grievances about the game
useless, nobody would play there. maybe attempt for 1-2 weeks until figured out there is not enough others to face against. Everybody returns to standard ranked.

Not to mention the straw man he sets up of us “demanding” a better game when in actuality, for the most part, the forums’ community members have been relatively respectful when asking for changes. A “demand” has to be an authoritative request of obedience but with the polite language and argumentation used on this forum, I have seen very few instances of actual demands.
we haven’t had attempts like this before. The big issue with EW and DM (apart from being very different game modes) was that you can’t queue for them at the same time as standard ranked play. Few people are going to be waiting 10 minutes to try out a new game mode, when they can get a standard game in 3 minutes

FYI, Voobly is still aoe2. Its the platform which everyone used until 2019. You have an option to play a version that doesn’t have any of the new civs in the form of voobly and unranked lobbies, I don’t have an alternate where I can pick competent new civs in ranked and play against the rest.
And if you are a ranked player, what other DLC civs are you talking about, all of the previous DLC civs are mediocre, below average civs in ranked Arabia. 8 of the 10 worst civs by pick and winrate are post 2020 civs. Senseless nerfs like the ones proposed by OP have made more than half the new civs unplayable.
And what right do you have to make these civs unplayable and force us to play 25 year old civs? Just because you don’t like those civs why should the rest of us not play with those? We have paid MORE than you.
Negative reviews are by the people who were disappointed from the historical perspective, voice lines, lack of campaigns for the other 2 civs etc. It has NOTHING related to civ balance which is what this thread is about.
There are quite a few negative reviews mentioning how awful the balance is for these new civs as well.

yes, but i bought aoe2DE. i have a right to play it. it has been changed beyond recognition since I’ve purchased it.
currently the top3 civs by win rate are all non-medieval, gimmicky atrocities: Romans, Wu, and Shu.
with the exception of Shrivamsha riders, the other DLC civs I can tolerate. I’m not a big of the Caucasus civs either, but if that’s all I’m fine with it.

At this point it only looks to me that you guys try to take over the forum and try to get the interpretive authority.
