My two cents

Since when does not buying AoMR’s expansion pass have anything to do with playing the game? Same with 2DE and IV?

Some believe WE doesn’t deserve financial support after what happened, so they are taking a stand. This has nothing to do with hating the other games.

Play all the games and be happy!

I love AOEIII and AOEII, and also enjoy AOM now and again, though personally the Early Modern Age is my jam (I’m a sucker for muskets and cannon).

My personal stance is that I’m currently not willing to spend any more of my funds on AOE games until AOEIII is addressed properly in terms of a final patch/update rather than the unceremonious dumping after previously announcing ongoing dev work (dlc). I will continue playing all of the ones I like ‘cos they’re my games, but I will make a conscious effort not to give W.E. any of my money. I actually do want the AOE2 DLC, but will happily wait much, much further along for that…

….but that’s just my view - people can do what they want :joy:

note: I’d certainly not lump the Devs in with any of this - this is 100% World’s Edge and Microslop whipcracking.

Same, AoE III is also my favorite but I enjoy playing other games, too

I forgot to mention that I also buy DLC for the other Age of Empires games because I genuinely want to enjoy that content; it’s something I look forward to. That’s why I won’t participate in the movement to boycott other DLC until updates for Age of Empires III return. I can understand those who don’t want to buy any more; they have every right to do so. But I can’t sacrifice buying other DLC because of the problems with Age of Empires III.

I know, we all know, I just made a mistake when I wrote it.

I can only enjoy aoe3 personally. Once I experienced the speed of the game and the QoL mechanics like batch training there was no going back.

yeah 3 was truly innovative since 2005
Maybe too much, sadly !

Yes, AoE 3 was killed for being too innovative, and that’s why they were so timid with AoE 4…
