This is random, and I haven’t played the beta yet… waited on invite but I’ll probably have to wait for official release. HOWEVER… playing AOE2 yesterday, I thought what a cool idea to add “marching drummers” from town Hall or something… allowing you to increase movement speed to marching units. Same could be applied to Aoe4

I liked a lot of systems they had in cossacks.
There were tangible benefits to having units in formations for example.

There’s an unit like this in AoE3. The griot.

Yes that was phenomenal addition for combat system, i doubt something like that would be introduced in AOE but maybe drummers could be added to have aura around them…

It seems monks may serve most of the support roles. But maybe new units may be announced later who knows.
