I really hope TLC isn’t the last time they visit South America, like I hope TTK isn’t the last time they visit Asia (and DOI isn’t the last they visit India).
I don’t think so, since those areas aren’t as frequently visited as Europe, so they’ll alternate between continents… the next DLC is Africa again/Middle East (dividing the Saracens into Egyptians, Arabs, Kanemites and Sudanese) or the Balkans and Russia (Serbs, Croats, and Vlacs, maybe Rus too)…
I disagree; the Tupi had their early colonial conflicts just barely, but still safely within the established confines of the 16th century. Even if only barely, they fit. The Guaraní that you are trying to depict do not. It would be a much better idea to limit the Jesuit influence to the monastery only, because that was about all the contact they had with Europeans in the timeframe. I would honestly let them have a special Jesuit UU and a really good monastery tech spread to reflect that.
This weapon only started to be a thing in the 19th century; that is far and beyond too far to be included in AoE2, full stop.
This right here would be a much better basis to start the civ from imo.
Ava Chiriguano civ
Archer and infantry civilization
Bonus:
*Settlements improve movement speed of nearby units and can train archer line
*Ibirapema warrior +1/+2 pierce armor in Castle/Imperial Age
*Castle cost wood and stone (500 200 )
Team bonus: Monastery 20% cheaper
Castle UT: Keremba - archers and skirmishers recovers HP while attacking enemy units
Imperial UT: Chicha Treat - Champi and Ibirapema line HP +20%, train faster
UU: Ava Lancer - fast moving cavalry, good against skirmishers and gunpowder units, generate +5 food when defeating enemy units
The first design is indeed, perfect material for Age3
The second one however, starts with the incursion in the andean territories in the (mid) 15 century, so, it does not push the timeline that much
Ya, pero no nos dan pues las civis que corresponden (ni las que prometieron ni este DLC que huele a Age3) tampoco le parchan, no tengo más remedio que pedir acá
the Tupi and Guarani peoples were both around for a long time. the issue is that this design of the Guarani people represents them exlusively after european contact, which is too late.
I have my issues with the Tupi in the game, but them being too late is not one of them, as most of their design is from their pre-colonial history.
