New Civ Idea no one has suggested before

Gentlemen, Gentlemen… I think we’ve been overlooking a very obvious candidate… A society so versatile and alluring that it’s existence has stunned archaeologists and historians for centuries.

A civilization so unique and obscure, and yet so powerful that tens of millions of people venerate to this day.

I present to you, THE NEPHITES:

Nephites:

Cavalry and Monk Civilization

  • Military units constantly heal at 5%

  • archer and infantry line units cost 70%

  • Transport ships have 50% more health

- Unique Unit: Stripling - can heal other Striplings when not in combat. (Ensuring enemy assaults can’t critique their existence)

- Unique Techs:

Polygamy: Villagers produce twice as fast

Blood Atonement: Priests damage enemy buildings (Since they can’t convert)

- Team Bonus: For every relic in your monastery, monks can damage enemy buildings 10% faster

- Wonder: Zarahemla

I think this would be better for Age of Mythology than Age of Empires. Your concept is based on “mythology”, after

5% in what time? 5% in a minute is completely useless while 5% per second is broken.

These are just duplicated bonuses.

A healer plus combat unit seems interesting.

This is just like a cheat code thing from aoe 1. And monks cant convert just the buildings or any unit?

Overall this seems like a civilization for the campaigns. Could lead to some interesting missions but not competitive aoe 2.

######## isn’t a unique “tech”, if you know what I mean…

When lookng at the images after the first onebI thought you were proposing some bronze age or iron age civ

But no, its a mormon civ proposal. Not sure how seriously should I take it.

I don’t know, if it’s on ALL military units it seems quite powerful even at 5% per minutes.

So they are the only civ whose monks can damage buildings, but they give their allies an increase for the rate at which they damage buildings? So it’s +10% of 0?

So an infantry and archer civ and a broken one at that no I don’t think the UT that is a side-grade to redemption at best is enough to make it a monks civs.

I’m going to need more info on the Stripling is it ranged or melee, Infantry or Calvary? What’s its Hp, armor, and attack?

Also the Nephites are fictional and not even within the proper time period.

TBH, I am not sure the OP is being entirely serious, unless they happen to be Mormon themselves.

1 hp in 30 seconds on low hp units, 1 hp in 12 seconds on units like knights. Not powerful at all. You have to wait several minutes without using those units.

I can’t believe i overlooked this but why do they have Calvary, this is a new world civ do they all ride Bison?

They rode on tapirs according to some Mormon apologists. The book of Mormon mentions horses but they’ve had to find ways to explain that with the fact that horses didn’t coexist with people in the Americas until they were reintroduced a few centuries ago

lol ######## should make half their villagers die from STDs rather than give them faster pop growth lol

Last time I checked Aoe2 was historical and Aom was mythological/fantasy.

I pray someone will see your post and fulfill the prophecy, yes

Alright, Fineeeee.

  • military units heal 5% faster
  • transports ships are 50% faster

  • The unique unit is a low attack, high defense Melee unit

  • Team bonus is now: For every relic in your monastery, monks your population cap goes up by 2

Are you insulting the legacy and innovations of Mormon historiography ?
