New December PUP in the way:

so the new buff for general unit basically just wiped and render their civ bonus moot? if thats the case then teuton’s +2 minimum either wiped or now its effecitve just +1?

even though we are suppoes to test generic unit, the PUP did say it should take average between 5-9 so which would be same as bengal elephant so I dont see a need for that

I was hoping that teutons TB changed into a personal one with the monk balance honestly.

A lot of questions that I don’t have answer for. I didn’t do any further test as I’ll probably have the busiest week of my life starting tomorrow. Maybe you can do some test on your own.

Yeah and that was not supposed to be happen.

That was easy S-tier.

Ok so its another usual patch.

Oh my bad. That’s great then.

This is quite decent imo. A bit more longevity, with trample damage they’ll also kill more units before they’re dead. Still probably won’t be worth their cost yet but another step in the right direction imo

111111 I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at this statement. True, yet sad to see.

Well, Rathas are not as bad in Imperial anyway thanks to PT.

Trample damage will be just 1 or 2 damage. So I’m not relying on that.

Do we know when the December update will be released? I like the devotion tech, especially for elephants civs

Expect any day surrounding the end of the month, so something like the 29th at the earliest, and the 3rd at the latest. That’s usually how it goes for monthly patches.

Hopefully they fix the birds before they release the update.

What’s going on with the birds?

They spin in place like bayblades.

Lmao according to some creators this might actually be a buff. I retract my approval

Just give the huns the 100 wood they miss in the start of the game and georgians the 50 food they now miss at the start. What do you guys think?

Also, most people look foward to unique or at least regional skins for generic units like champions, cavaliers, arbalesters, etc.

And I believe increasing a bit infantry and elephants speed and elephants conversion resistance would be nice to make them more viable.

Being more specific: change mongols, persians and huns architecture. And give cumans bracer ir at least +1 attack on ranged units in imperial.

Nah, I think those are important parts of their identity, and a big part of what makes them feel different to play.

Besides, Huns are (mostly) fine. I think this is a neat set of tweaks that shouldn’t make them too much stronger where they’re strong, but will help them where they’re weak - very similar to the changes to the Chinese.

Bear in mind, the objective here isn’t to make them top-tier, just to take them out of the dregs of the bottom.

In case the Devs don’t see it in the Discord server:

There needs to be a new voice line for the Devotion tech in El Cid 4, to show that the tech has been “learnt” at the converted mosque. I think even the voice actor is the same as the narrator from Montezuma in the Conquerors original dialogue. The actor’s name in the AOC credits is Julio Cedillo.

If you taken away 25 wood for the folwark off the poles, than you take them the 5 popspace. The food eco can so stay how is it. I dont like half things. The change for the monks is good. Second is the repairbonus off the georgians with 25 percent better, because its too strong with 50 percent.

Imo infantry should stay trash, but rather their resource and/or population cost should reflect that.
Armenians I think proved definitively just how worthless standard infantry is in AoE2 outside of all-in rushes. Imagine getting age earlier upgrades for literally any other unit line, Burgundians have their entire tree gutted just for Cavalier.
