I was wondering if there are any affirmations that the new DLC indeed will bring a new pantheon.
Cause a DLC can be anything. At best it can be a new pantheon. Or it can be just 4 new major gods to ne the new existing civilizations. or it can just be 1 civ with a bunch of maps.
It’s a fair assumption to think we’ll get a new civ since the first expansion gave us a new pantheon, and they named the second DLC the second expansion of the premium upgrade. Is it absurd to think we’ll get the same formula as in the Chinese expansion? On the other hand, you could be right, too, considering the peculiar communication we get from World’s Edge these days in different games. You’ll never know, I guess. That could be the case, too, at least I won’t be surprised if that’s what they’re gonna do in the end. Still, that will definitely cause backlash from the community and that’s also fair.
They did say they were making another Pantheon Expansion. They’ll have to announce it at some point. But DLC could also mean purchaseable Gods Packs. Like, an Anubis Pack for Egyptians, like the Freyr Pack for Norse, included in the Premium Edition. (I think it was a preoder bonus, but I’m not 100% sure)
It specifically states that it’s a new pantheon on Steam page and other stores:
(2) Upcoming Expansions: Prepare to embark on new epic sagas yet untold with two yet to be revealed and highly anticipated upcoming expansions.
Expansion 1: All-New Chinese pantheon expansion
Expansion 2: additional new pantheon expansion
I think there’ll be a new pantheon for each new DLC, otherwise it won’t sell enough.
When I say DLC, it’s the equivalent of a new expansion, so it’s DLC that offers substantial new content. Freyr-style mini DLCs will also be released as bonuses, but I don’t think they’re worth more than 5€ for each new god pack.
