New feature characteristics summary of the civ

Hi all,
I think it would be very useful to have an in-game window displaying a summary of the characteristics of the civilization you are currently playing.

Imagine if this window stayed visible for 1 minute and then disappeared. This would save time at the beginning of the game by avoiding the need to click around and recall the civilization’s bonuses and other important information.

The main reasons for this change:

  1. The first few seconds of the game are too critical to allow opening a full-screen window.
  2. This change would make the “random civ” option more appealing and less disruptive.

For those who already know all the civilizations by heart, there should be an option to uncheck a box to prevent this window from appearing.

What do you think?

I think about this summary :

Hovering over your civ icon shows you the available technologies at last.

Also you should probably rename the topic into something less generic so people know what it’s about. “New Feature” can mean anything.

I followed your advice and changed the title. Thank you

Loading screen should display civilisations characteristics summary instead of that weird easteregg blue eyed fellow.

Also a good idea if technically possible. But the loading can be too short in some case.

I mean it does take atleast 30 seconds for everyone in the loading screen. In multiplayer loading screen stays for even 2-3 minutes till everyone is ready. Your original post demanded 1 minute. Once the game boots up. You can always hover over the civ icon to see the summary.

On imperial war yes but classic teams games is more 20 sec. 10 - 15 sec in 1V1.
It can be much more but it’s too random to rely only on it. Even If I like the idea and would prefer your proposition than the current loading screen.

Then why don’t you just hover on the icon?

Because I need my mouse for something else.

What kind of AoE2 are you playing? LoL

What is funny can you explain ?

Clickfest translating to victory.

That was the funny things made you answer “LoL” to my suggestion ? It’s an expression from the 2000s, by the way. You are certainly a grown man, try to develop a bit more please.

I like being a child. Keep your manliness to yourself.
